Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: unilateral mechanical ankle instability, planned for surgical stabilization with preoperative functional testing and arthroscopic confirmation of mechanical, lateral ankle instability.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: bilateral or medial pathology acute sprain <3 months before testing
