Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: no former diagnosed diabetes

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. no informed consent 2. patients younger than 50 years 3. patients with the diagnosis of Diabetes 4. patients with a Family-related risk of pancreatic Cancer (i.e. relatives of first degree with history of pancreatic cancer) 5. Pregnant women 6. patients, who are from the studies doctor's perspective not suitable

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Feasibility of the prospective observation of patients older than 50 years and newly diagnosed diabetes with regard to pancreatic diseases. Feasibility of collecting and storage of human blood samples and images of these patients

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
A sub-target criteria is the prospective definition for the risk of getting pancreatic cancer in patients older 50 years with new onset of diabetes.
