Design outcomes
Primary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| Concentrations of antimicrobial peptides from premature infants <34 6/7 weeks of gestation are compared with those from mature infants. For this purpose, skin rinse samples are taken on days 0, 7, 14 and 28 after birth and examined for the presence and concentration of antimicrobial peptides by ELISA. Material for examining the skin microbiome is obtained from the rinsing samples and examined for the effect of clinical parameters (birth mode, antibiotic therapy). | — |
Secondary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| Differences in the concentration of different antimicrobial peptides on the skin of mature newborns depending on the mode of birth (spontaneous vs. sectio) Expression of the skin microbiome in premature and mature newborns depending on the antenatal antibiotic exposure Differences in the concentration of various antimicrobial peptides in the skin of premature babies depending on skin care and duration of UV radiation by phototherapy | — |
