Interventions

Group 1: Patients with addiction and other high-risk behaviour for chronic hepatitis c and confirmed HCV-infection supported to start a DAA HCV therapy in one of the local gastroenterological centers.

Inclusion criteria: Patients with addiction 18 years of age or older at the start of the observation Informed consent form signed: no=stop / yes

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: informed consent not available

Measure	Time frame
The change in HCV prevalence in patients with addition from baseline to the end of follow up within Rhine-Main Area.	—

Measure	Time frame
- phylogenetic virologic relationship in high risk patients - treatment rate, management of antiviral therapy, SVR rates and clinical outcomes - reasons for not initiating therapy - improvement of medical, social and personal outcome in patients with addiction and treated HCV in comparison of these without chronic hepatitis c or untreated HCV-infection	—
