Group 1: Neurography of peroneal, ulnar and trigeminal/facial nerve upon Admission to the intensive care unit and every third/fourth day until loss of function or stable state for >1 measurement

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Signed informed consent; prognosis of at least 5 days of intensive care treatment

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Presence of a multiresistent microbiologic organism
