Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patient related criteria: 1) Cooperative Children aged from 5 to 12 Teeth related criteria: 1) first or second primary molars or primary canine (upper and lower) in the final process of exfoliation 2) extraction indicated for orthodontic treatment 3) teeth selected to be extracted because of physiological root resorption

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Uncooperative children, children with mental and/or physical disorders; teeth suffer from frank cavitated proximal caries (e.g. The absence of a marginal ridge), developmental defects, cavitation, hypoplasia. A large carious cavity on occlusal or smooth surfaces, absence of the adjacent tooth Teeth with occlusal restorations, fissure sealants or fissures with brownish pigments. lack of a contact point

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Accuracy of detecting proximal caries between digital radiography and conventional radiography. It will be assessed after doing the histological examination, which will take a place after the teeth are extracted

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
The correlation between tooth type and accuracy of detecting proximal caries. It will be done after having the histological assessment results
