Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: - patients with AKI defined as KDIGO stage2/3 within 72h after on-pump cardiac surgery - 18-90 years - informed consent
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: - Prior kidney transplant - dialysis dependent CKD - History of human deficiency virus (HIV) or hepatitis virus (Hepatitis C) - pregnancy or nursing period - off-pump heart surgery - hepatorenal syndrome

| Predictive value of CCL14 for persistent AKI within 72h. In addition, the primary endpoint is met if the criteria mortality or dialysis dependency are met. Persistent KDIGO stage 3 (yes/no) is defined as follows. For patients enrolled at stage 2, persistent severe AKI “yes” requires an AKI progression to stage 3 within 48 hours and a persistence at stage 3 for at least 72 hours; otherwise severe AKI is considered not persistent. For patients enrolled at stage 3, persistent severe AKI “yes” requires a persistence at stage 3 for 72 hours from the time of sample collection; otherwise severe AKI is considered not persistent | — |
