Group 1: Part A - vocal cords • As part of intubation via video laryngoscope, 2 photos of the vocal cord level are taken • The TOF value of the hand is determined at the same time as the two photos P

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: • All genders • Age = 18 years • Elective surgery • General anesthesia with administration of muscle relaxants • Additional criteria depending on the part of the study: Part A (vocal cord opening): intubation Part B (diaphragm): upper abdominal laparotomy Part C (lower leg muscles): knee surgery with tourniquet

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: • Neuromuscular diseases • Allergy to muscle relaxants • contractures on the fingers • pregnancy • Additional criteria depending on the part of the study: Part A (vocal cord opening): indication for rapid sequence induction and (expected) difficult airway, hyperkalemia Part C (lower leg muscles): amputation of the big toe on the side to be operated on, polyneuropathy, peripheral arterial disease (= stage 3) • Patient rejects the study • Simultaneous participation in another study • Limited ability to provide information and consent, support

Definition of a TOF value (indicated as a number by the relaxometry and derived from the hand), in which there is relaxation of a muscle or a muscle group (diaphragm, larynx muscle or muscles of the lower leg).

• Deriving a dose of muscle relaxant that leads to relaxation of a specific muscle or muscle group • Examination of possible influencing factors on the relaxation of the target muscles: type of muscle relaxant, age, gender, BMI, previous illnesses, medication
