Design outcomes
Primary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| The primary outcome of this exploratory study is to investigate the impact of dietary fibres on the production of beef intake biomarkers (in particular TMAO) with targeted metabolomic methods. The primary target value is therefore the plasma TMAO level. | — |
Secondary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| Secondary outcome is to investigate alterations in the microbiom composition in stool samples which may occur due to high amount of dietary fibre in the diet. Furthermore, secondary values are food intake biomarkers, which are also associated with the intake of red meat (e.g. trimethyllysin, carnosin, anserin). | — |
