Interventions

Group 1: multimodal REHA concept with mf electricity applications
The mf-current treatment is carried out with the Memectron EDIT unit (double two-field electrode), current form: Eudosan, constant 4000 Hz, current intensity between 10-20 mA, 18 minutes application t
The REHA treatment is carried out over 3 weeks. Group 2: multimodal REHA concept without mf power applications
The REHA measure is carried out over 3 weeks

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: All thoracotomized patients who undergo a 3-week REHA procedure at the MEDIAN Klinik am Südpark in Bad Nauheim and are willing to participate in the study.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Relative and absolute contraindication of (medium-frequency) current treatment (except wire cerclage)

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Change in the level/expression of pain on a visual analogue scale (VAS) at admission and discharge

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
1.functional health: lung function (vital capacity - VK, forced one-second capacity - FEV1, difference in breathing volume), assessment of wound healing in the sternotomized area (dry, non-irritant, wet, painful), quality of life in the standardized questionnaire HAF 17 2. reduction of pain medication (pain reduction protocol) 3. effects at molecular level (laboratory parameters: BSG, CRP, leukocytes, pro- and anti-inflammatory cytokines) 4. adverse effects and intolerances of mf-current therapy
