Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: DUERER I Study arm 1 includes residents of nursing homes with a minimum age of 70 years and a CFS (Clinical Frailty Scale) value 18 years and the existence of a declaration of consent.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: DUERER I Residents with end-of-life care are just as excluded as residents with behaviour that is harmful to others. Residents who are unable to participate in group settings due to mental illness (e.g. paranoid schizophrenia in the acute stage) are also excluded. Furthermore, infectious residents and residents suspected of having a possible Covid 19 infection cannot participate in the study until the infection has been ruled out or until negative swabs have been taken after infection. DUERER II Exclusion criteria are severe mental disorders or infectious diseases that do not allow participation in a group. This applies in particular to the presence of clinical symptoms with suspected Covid-19 disease according to study arm 1.

With the RS-11 questionnaire and the SF-12 tool, resilience and general wellbeing are assessed before and after the first art therapy session.
