Group 1: Within this study, venous blood samples will be collected from inpatients on the day wards of the Clinic for Cardiovascular Surgery with an inserted indwelling venous catheter at defined time

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Treatment on a day ward at Freiburg University Hospital, inserted intravenous catheter, expected duration of inpatient treatment >72 hours

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Non-consenting patients, minors, emergency patients, known hematologic or oncologic disease, presence of immunosuppression, patients with permanent mobility impairment (bedridden), body mass index less than 20 kg/m2.
