18 Years to 100 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Existent severe illness from the neurological or neurosurgical spectrum defined as early rehabilitation Barthel Index (ERBI) 7 or cough >1 on ACS (Coplin et al. 2000, Windisch et al. 2017, Tanwar et al. 2019)

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Age <18 years, known bullous pulmonary emphysema, presence of pneumothorax during current clinical treatment or instable sternum. Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis as well as other progressive neuromuscular disorders and paraplegia, continous intracenous sedation, orally intubated patients, expected death on the ICU
