Conditions

healthy volunteers

Interventions

Group 1: Gait kinematics of the entire body, measured with the Lukotronic Gait Lab - in the beginning of the trail, reflective markers are placed on the participants on prominent bone points (like C7,

Eligibility

Sex/Gender
All
Age
18 Years to 80 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: healthy subjects (age 18-80years), leg axis position not relevant, BMI not relevant

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: No transposition or corrective osteotomy or surgery on the lower extremity, no doctor visits due to injuries of lower extremities in the past six months, no Achilles tendon ruptures or fractures of any kind in the lower extremities, no ankle instability (tested by the Cumberland ankle instability tool)

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
the effect of taping (kinesiotape, non-elastic tape) on the gait kinematics (articular range of motion and the stiffness)

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
- the impact of ankle tapes on the gait kinematics of the entire body - Weight, age, gender - individual gait pattern - Cumberland Ankle Instability Tool - after each measurement the subject has to answer a couple of questions about the effects of the tape on their gait kinematics (for example: did the tape change your gait kinematics?) - Creation of ankle tapes by different physical therapists
