Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients with protective ostomy after anterior resection for rectal cancer that were operated between 01.01.2004 and 31.12.2018.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: not-oncological resection

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Ostomy-associated dehydration. This outcome will be evaluated by investigating the electronic patient files (discharge letters, laboratory values).

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Overall ostomy-associated morbidity.This outcome will be evaluated by investigating the electronic patient files (discharge letters, operative notes).
