Patients that have undergone postoperative care on the Heidelberg Interprofessional training ward between 04/2017 and 04/2019 as well as patients treated on a regular surgical ward during the same time period.

Inclusion criteria: - Patients that have undergone postoperative care on the Heidelberg Interprofessional training ward between 04/2017 and 04/2019 - Patients treated on a regular surgical ward between 04/2017 and 04/2019

To describe clinical and economic outcome parameters of patients treated on HIPSTA vs. a conventional surgical ward.	—

1. Postoperative length of hospital stay 2. Postoperative days on the regular ward 3. Rate of reoperations until discharge 4. Rate of readmissions to ICU/IMC 5. Rate of postoperative complications until discharge in both groups 6. Rate of hospital readmissions within 1 month after discharge 7. Discharge destination (home, nursery, rehabilitation, other hospital/department, other) 8. Costs 9. Rate of AiD discharge medication lists 10. Rate of structured discharge checklists 11. Presence of daily ward documentations for the time on the normal ward 12. Results of the Global Trigger Tool (GTT)	—
