Age
18 Years to 40 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: - Female - Age 18-40 years - fat mass > 20 % - No subjective symptoms during physical stress - Stable weight and nutritional behaviour - No regular endurance sports > 2x/week - No contraindications against physical stress according to ACSM guidelines - no contraindications against additional nutrition or ergogenic supplements

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: - Endurance sports in the (high) performance range (>3 units/week) - Malignant diseases in the past 5 years - Cardiac disease (e.g. chronic heart disease, arrhythmia, heart valve disease, arthritis etc.) - Arterial hypertension (RRsyst > 200 mmHg and/or RRdiast > 105 mmHg) at rest - Presence of insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus (IDDM) - Presence of a fat metabolism disorder - Regular intake of medication

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
As a surrogate marker for the improvement of fat oxidation in the endurance performance, the 1-hour time course (1h-TT) is determined.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
The velocity at the aerobic threshold (VLT), individual anaerobic threshold (VIAT) as well as the change in fat mass (FM) are defined as the secondary output.
