Group 1: This randomized crossover trial is separated into three groups which undergo the same three study periods (one treatment every week for three weeks/periods) within different study sequences.

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: In favor of generating a coherent and well organisable sample size, participants from three classes of osteopathic medical students at the Osteopathie Schule Deutschland (OSD) were acquired as probands.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Subject exhibiting neuromuscular diseases (e.g. Parkinson's, multiple sclerosis, epilepsy, polyneuropathy, myopathy) were excluded from trial participation.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
For evaluation of muscle tone several biomechanical and viscoelastic properties of the all three muscles will be measured before and after treatment using the MyotonPro®.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
The assessment of potential stress relation will be examined one week before the first treatment and one week after the last treatment using the German version of the Perceived Stress Scale-10.
