Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Age: from 18 years Good knowledge in written and spoken german Private internet access Heterosexual couples Relationship at least for six months Relationship satisfaction measured with PFB (Partnerschaftsfragebogen) under or = Cut-Off of 18

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Separation in process Homosexual couples Violence in the relationship Being in couple counseling currently Being in therapy currently Taking psychiatric medication currently Suicidal tendency

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Primary Outcome of the study is the change in relationship satisfaction, depression and anxiety in the intervention group compared with the waitlist control group. There are three times of measurement: pre (before the coaching starts), post (directly after the coaching) and follow up (12 weeks after the coaching has ended). Relationship satisfaction is measured with the total value of the short version of the Partnerschaftsfragebogen (PFB-K; Hahlweg, 2016). Depression and anxiety is measured with the patient health questionnaire (PHQ; Löwe et al., 2002). Depression is measured with the PHQ-Scale PHQ-9 and anxiety is measured with the PHQ-Scale GAD-7.

Secondary outcome of the study is the change in life quality and functioning in the intervention group compared with the waitlist control group. There are three times of measurement: pre (before the coaching starts), post (directly after the coaching) and follow up (12 weeks after the coaching has ended). Life quality and functioning is measured with two items: (1) How would you descripe your quality of life? very low low rather low rather high high very high (2) How would you rate your functioning? Please describe your work functioning or - if you are not working - your functioning at home. very low low rather low rather high high very high
