Group 1: Treatment group. After ensuring exact verification of all inclusion and exclusion criteria the participants receive a manualised writing therapy through a secured digital platform over a time

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: - a participant must have been housed in a GDR children's home - access to the internet - signed declaration of consent

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: - suicidal tendencies - severe depression - psychotic disorders - alcohol or drug addiction - borderline personalty disorder - bipolar disorder - self harming behaviours - complex posttraumatic stress disorder (C-PTSD)

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Reduction of posttraumatic stress disorder symptoms (ITQ), depression (PHQ9), anxiety (GAD7) as well as an increase of posttraumatic growth (PTGI) and quality of life (EUROHIS-QOL) at the end of the 6-week treatment and the follow-up measurements (3, 6 and 12 months).
