MeasureTime frame
Characterization of the liver-microbiota axis and identification of biomarkers and therapy targets. Phase 1: identification Analysis of the relationship between liver diseases and intestinal microbiota and identification of possible therapy targets. Phase 2: intervention Investigation of the influence of targeted physical activity on the microbiota and liver function in aging people. Phase 3: implementation Examination of the effects of fecal microbiota transplantation on the liver in C. difficile patients. Measuring times: Depending on the diseases and the study phase, the surveys are carried out at different times; for example after 0, 6, 12 and 18 months. methods: - Determination of liver status - Examination of the stool and saliva microbiome - Genetic analysis in the blood - miRNA expression measurements in blood and stool - Metatranscriptome analyzes in the stool - Metaproteome analysis in the stool
