Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Parkinson patients undergoing implantation of deep brain stimulation system at the Evangelisches Krankenhaus Oldenburg, followed by a period of time during which DBS leads remain externalized. Moreover inclusion criteria encompass: Becks Depression Inventory 130, Mini Mental State > 23

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: acute psychiatric disorders, hearing disability/deafness, increased risk of infection

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
The primary goal is to determine whether stimulus-response associations are represented within the activity of the subthalamic nucleus. In order to assess these hypothesis we will measure and analyze behavioral-, EEG-, and local field potential data.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
The secondary goal is to determine whether activity of the nucleus subthalamicus is predictive of the successful selection of a correct association. In order to assess these hypothesis we will measure and analyze behavioral-, EEG-, and local field potential data.
