Group 1: Patients with lung cancer. The patients are referred to the study when admitted to the clinic. After written consent to participate in the study, blood is taken (baseline blood about 5 ml). I

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Male or female, =40 years old, therapy naïve, suspicious to lung cancer or other lung disease, sufficient knowledge of German, willingness to participate in the study

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Known infectious diseases (HIV, HCV, HBV), advanced, curatively-treated cancer within last 5 years, past diagnosed lung cancer

The aim is to evaluate a novel, miRNA-based method for the improvement of the diagnosis of lung cancer in a cohort of patients who suffer from lung diseases.	—
