Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: age 8 to 12 years, diagnosis of ADHD according to DSM-V (2013), undergoing therapy with methylphenidate/dexamphetamine for at least three months prior to the intervention, right hand dominance and corrected-to or normal vision

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: regular participation in martial arts within 6 months prior to the intervention, autism and/or epilepsy as comorbid condition, a change of dosage of methylphenidate/dexamphetamine within one month prior to the intervention, any acute or chronic disease, which is classified as a contraindication for exercise and/ or which impairs the practicability of the scheduled exercise session, and undergoing another therapy in addition to methylphenidate/dexamphetamine treatment.
