Design outcomes
Primary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| Primary outcome: Aggregated interoceptive measure consisting of four components of interoceptive body perception and two modalities (see secondary target criteria). | — |
Secondary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| Secondary outcome: 1. interoceptive sensitivity measured using the questionnaire "Multidimensional Assessment of Interoceptive Awareness", "Scale of Body connection" and "Survey of Body areas" 2. interoceptive awareness measured by the difference between the heartbeat perception score and subjective performance assessment in the heartbeat task, 3. interoceptive accuracy measured via the heartbeat perception score in the heartbeat task, and 4. cortical representation of interoceptive body signals measured over the mean amplitude of the heart beat-evoked potentials (HEPs) at rest as well as during the interoception and exteroception task. 5. mediation of the association between traumatic childhood experiences (CECA trauma severity) and emotional regulation ability (P300 amplitude in the condition regulating vs. viewing during the emotional regulation task) by interoceptive body perception (aggregated by the four components of interoceptive body perception; see point 1). 6. mediation of the association between traumatic childhood experiences (CECA trauma severity) and emotional regulatory capacity (mentalization score in the reflective-functioning questionnaire) through interoceptive body perception (aggregated via the four components of interoceptive body perception; see point 1). | — |
