Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Written informed consent; age above 18 years; presence of at least one trigger point within the trapezius muscle; diagnosis of migraine according to the "Essener Kopfschmerzfragebogen"

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Other neurological diseases (except for migraine); epilepsia; pregnancy; implanted medical devices; other severe diseases

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Improvement of symptoms according to the headache diary of the DMKG (as assessed 90 days before and after rPMS).

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Improvement of the peripheral pressure pain threshold of the neck and shoulder musculature (as measured by algometry prior and subsequent to rPMS) & improvement of symptoms according to the MIDAS questionnaire (as assessed 90 days before and after rPMS).
