Interventions

Group 1: Patients with fibromyalgia syndrome are interviewed once on the basis of validated questionnaires on their symptoms and a single blood sample is taken to determine the magnesium status.

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: - Patient was informed about the research project. - Written consent of the patient. - Age = 18 years, able to consent. - First or currently confirmed diagnosis of fibromyalgia syndrome according to the modified criteria of the American College of Rheumatology (ACR) 2010 in the revision version of 2016. - Patients are able to complete the required questionnaires.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: - Patient's own or medically prescribed supplementation of magnesium and / or calcium and / or vitamin D within the last 2 weeks before the blood collection date. - Intake of any drugs that may affect the magnesium or calcium status. - Comorbidities that may affect the magnesium or calcium status. - Severe neurological disorders (e.g. Alzheimer's disease). - Drug or alcohol abuse. - Pregnancy or lactation. - Participation in another research project or clinical study within 30 days prior to the start of the research project.
