Interventions

Group 1: Ada App® Structured symptom check with an algorithm prescribed by the app. A studet not involved in regular ER-care will ask the patient. The diagnoses will not be forwarded to the ER team

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Adult patients with abdominal pain presenting in the ER and willing to participate

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Intubated patients 2. Instable patients requiring immediate direct medical treatment 3. Instable patients with severe injuries requiring immediate direct medical treatment 4. Patients unwilling or unable to give informed consent

Primary

MeasureTime frame
The primary end-point is the accuracy of diagnosing in the ER after doctor-patient-interaction versus the list of diagnosis proposed by the algorithmic survey used by the Ada App®.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Secondary endpoints are the timing of diagnosis, time to treatment, consulting, morbidity, mortality, cost, comparing accurate diagnoses vs. discharge diagnoses as descriptive assessments. These secondary endpoints stand for the potential of correct diagnosing and will be the basis for further hypothesis generating questions.
