Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
a) Analysis of ADH after TIPS implantation and correlation with the persistence of ascites after TIPS implantation b) Analysis of predictive factors for persistence of ascites after TIPS implantation c) Influence of the oncotic and hydrostatic pressure on the persistence of ascites after TIPS implantation d) Analysis of the baseline activation status of platelets before TIPS implantation e) Influence of the stent graft on platelet function f) Influence of antithrombin and clotting factor VIII on the development of TIPS thrombosis

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
a) Correlation of ADH with degree of liver dysfunction (clinical and laboratory parameter and scores) b) Correlation of ADH with the oncotic and hydrostatic pressure and indication for TIPS implantation (ascites vs. varices) c) Correlation of platelet function, antithrombin and clotting factor VIII with liver function d) c) Correlation of platelet function, antithrombin and clotting factor VIII with indication for TIPS implantation (ascites vs. varices)
