Inclusion criteria: Patients after implantation of a left ventricular assist device system

| The aim of this project is to determine the influence of driveline exit and preventive use of argon cold plasma on driveline infections. With the help of the results it is hoped to be able to make a statement to prevent or minimize driveline infections. The primary endpoint is wound infection with evidence of bacterial colonization and, if deep driveline infection is detected, death of the patient, explantation of the device due to HTx or weaning, or replacement of the device.
