Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Histologically proofed malignant tumor with obstruction, compression or infiltration of the biliary tract. Biliary stenosis with clinical need for endoscopic intervention.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: one of the mentioned intervention not applicable, uncontrolled biliary infection

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Stent patency rate 6 months after application.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Occurance and frequency of complications (bleeding, infection, stent dislocation, gallstone formation) 6 months after stent application.
