Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: - visit to general practitioner or hospital with symptoms prompting C. difficile testing - detection of toxigenic C. difficile - adult (18 years or older)
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: - healthcare facility stay in those 4 weeks prior to symptoms
