Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: • Minimum of 18 years of age • native language German bimodal CI group • Minimum of six months experience with CI+HA • Naída CI Q70 or Q90 sound processor and • Speech reception threshold (SRT) <5 dB SNR for the OlSa in S0N0 with CI+HA bilateral CI group • Minimum of six months experience with bilateral CI • Naída CI Q70 or Q90 sound processors • SRT <5 dB SNR for the OlSa in S0N0 with bilateral CI

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: cognitive deficits, physical issue that would interfere with participation in the study

MeasureTime frame
The speech intelligibility in noise was measured with the German Matrix Test Oldenburger Satztest (Olsa) in dB SNR in the bimodal condition in a acoustically reconstructed everyday situation. The microphones settings for comparison are omni directional and StereoZoom.

The speech intelligibility in noise was measured with the Olsa in dB SNR in the bilateral condition in a acoustically reconstructed everyday situation in the bilateral group. The microphones settings for comparison are omni directional and StereoZoom. The speech intelligibility in noise was measured with the Olsa in dB SNR in the bimodal and bilateral condition in a acoustically reconstructed everyday situation in the bimodal and bilateral group, respectively. The microphones settings for comparison are omni directional and UltraZoom. The speech intelligibilty in quiet in the bimodal and bilateral condition was measured with the Olsa in % correct answer with the algorithm SoftVoice activated and deactivated in the bimodal and bilateral group, respectively.
