Interventions

Group 1: The already available data regarding seizure frequency and side effects of patients with epilepsy will be examined retrospectively during treatment with levetiracetam.

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: -Inpatient treatment at Epilepsiezentrum Kork between 2009 and 2019 -Documented treatment with Levetiracetam -Documented increasement of Levetiracetam dose while inpatient stay -More than 1 seizure during the period prior to the dose increasement of LEV -Sufficient inpatient stay period

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: -Non-epileptic seizures -No treatment with levetiracetam or no dose increase of levetiracetam during inpatient stay -Less than 1 seizure during the period prior to the dose increase of LEV -Insufficient inpatient stay period -Dose changes of the concomitant AED medication during the observation period -Emergency medication required for seizures
