Group 1: We will compare the audiometric data pre and post surgery for Cochlear implanted adults.

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Hearing Loss Prior to Cochlear Implantation less than 80 dB HL on the ear to be implanted 2. Provision with nucleus CI System 3. native German speaker 4. Aftercare in our Centre (Erlangen)

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: known cognitive dysfunction
