Group 1: 1) Invitation of the population of Ulm and its surrounding area by a physician, brochures and posters in healthcare and nursing facilities as well as invitations via local media to the screen

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: - Women and men at the age of 65 and above. - Smartphone compatible with the Preventicus Heartbeats app - Part 1: Participant's confirmation of having read the app's terms of use and the data protection notice. Consent to participate in the study and to the app's terms and conditions of use and the data proctection notice. - Part 2: Written informed consent

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: - Screening programme Part 1: The participant does not own a smartphone with the minimum requirements for the Preventicus Heartbeats app (operating system iOS 9 and higher or Android 4.4 or higher) -Screening programme Part 2: previously diagnosed atrial fibrillation
