Group 1: We are going to collect data from patients undergoing general anesthesia during surgical intervention using EEG during and 30-90 days after the procedure.

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: healthy subjects that are scheduled for a standardized surgical procedure without any expected complications, no persistent chronical pain, no administration of opioids for the past 5 days prior to the procedure

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Allergy/intolerance to planned medication (anesthetics and analgesics), known polyneuropathy (e.g. diabetic, vascular, neurodegenerative), peripheral sensibility disorder, psychiatric disorder with an influence on pain sensation (e.g. severe depression, generalized anxiety disorder, self mutilation), ongoing administration or therapy with nonsteroidal antiinflammatory drugs in the past 5 days, drug abuse (alcohol, marihuana, cocaine, heroine etc.), sensible subjects (e.g. prisoners, minors, severely disabled people, homeless people), pregnancy and nursing period
