Interventions

Group 1: This cross-over-RCT includes two periods. Period 1 with intervention and period 2 without intervention. During period 1 with intervention, a total of nine days of treatment were performed.

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Living in the Canton of Berne. Furthermore, persons must reach a score from =11 on the Identification of Functional Ankle Instability, (IdFAI) questionnaire and having experience at least two "giving way" sensations in the last twelve months.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: - Injuries to the lower extremity (< 3 months), - physical activity for more than 1 day is impossible - Operations on the affected lower extremity in the last 12 months, - Operations on the affected ankle joint, - Neurological or peripheral vascular disease patterns, - Medications that influence the balance of the body - therapeutic treatment of the lower extremity and back (e.g. physiotherapy or osteopathy) for the duration of the study and - acute infections or fever.

To present the feasibility with regard to the recruitment process, adherence, safety of the investigation process and the conduct of the investigation.

Investigation of the 1. time-to-stabilization during landing after a one-legged forward jump and after a one-legged sideways jump as a parameter for postural control before phase 1 and after phase 1 as well as after phase 2. As TTS values, the anterior/ posterior, medial/ lateral and vertical ground reaction force are recorded with a sampling frequency of 1000 Hz by means of a force plate (Kistler Quattro Jump, Sindelfingen, Germany), which is then used to calculate the TTS. 2. muscle activation of the peroneal longus muscle, the anterior tibialis muscle, sleus muscle, gasrocnemius muscle, quadrizpes femoris muscle, bizeos femoris muscle during landing after a one-legged forward jump and after a one-legged sideways jump with the help of the wireless EMG system of muon 320 before phase 1 and after phase 1 as well as after phase 2. 3. dynamic equilibrium using the Modified Star Excursion Balance Test (mSEBT)
