Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients undergoing uni- or bilateral, primary or secondary DIEP flap autologous breast reconstruction are considered eligible for inclusion.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Increased preoperative serum creatinine levels or known kidney injury, congestive heart failure

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Analysis of highly sensitive kidney-specific urine parameters (TIMP-2 and IGFBP-7) via ELISA. Urine samples are taken pre-, intra- and postoperatively.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Blood tests (analysis of serum creatinine levels and blood urea nitrogen); urine output; DIEP flap perfusion; renal replacement therapy; hospitalization;
