Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: - COPD stages III and IV - Definition on the basis of the GOLD Guideline - Exclusion of acute exacerbation - Signed consent form - Patient age = 18 years

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: - Patient age < 18 years - Mental retardation - Missing declaration of consent - Acute exacerbation of the disease - gait uncertainty

Mean difference of the Borg dyspnoea scale before and after completion of the stair climbing test with and without use of the mobile BiPAP device "VitaBreath".
