Design outcomes
Primary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| Correlation of spinal cord movement to CSF-flow, each measured using the absolut displacement (=area under the curve) measured by phase-contrast MRI in respect to age and gender, statistically evaluated by multiple linear regression using SPSS at time of n=130 included healthy participants. | — |
Secondary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| At time of completed data aquisition the following analysis will be conducted using SPSS; for correlation analysis mutliple regression, for group comparison Mann-Whithney-U-Test will be applied: a) Correlation of diastolic pressure to spinal cord movement in healthy controls b) Quantification of the influence of alterations in venous outflow restistance to alteration of spinal cord movement and CSF-flow in healthy controls c) Group comparison of spinal cord movements and CSF-flow: male vs. female, soubgroups divide by age (age 20-40, 41-60, 61-80) d) Age and sex-matched group comparison of patients and healthy controls: spinal cord movements and CSF-flow per cervical segmental level e) Descriptive quantitative means and standard diviation of spinal cord movements and CSF-flow across the cervical spinal (vertebra C2-C7) in healthy controls in subgroups devided by age and sex f) Relation of CSF-flow and spinal cord movements in patients to clinical impairement | — |
