Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: • Age = 65 years • Obtained walking ability (with / without aids) • Got speech understanding Additional criteria for patients: • Neurologically sick persons who have been hospitalized at Schön Klinik Bad Aibling, for example with the following diagnosis: traumatic brain injury, stroke (ischemic or haemorrhagic) or hypoxic brain damage, critical illness polyneuropathy (CIP) and myopathy (CIM), Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, incomplete paraplegia. • Full score Barthel Index (excluding items 5,6,10; stool and urinary incontinence, climbing stairs) o To characterize the patients, this widespread assessment is used (Mahoney and Barthel, 1965); it serves the evaluation of everyday abilities and the need for care or independence of the patients. • Bogenhausen Dysphagia Score 2 (oral nutrition) =6 o Bogenhausen Dysphagia Scales (BODS1 and BODS2) (Bartolome 2010)

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Unstable cardiac arrhythmia • Heart Pacemaker • continuous oxygen demand • Uncontrolled other medical problems (cardiovascular disease, severe rheumatoid arthritis, arthritic joint deformities, acute cancers, kidney disease, any form of pulmonary or cardiovascular disease in the final stage, untreated epilepsy). • Heavy florid alcohol or drug abuse
