Interventions

Group 1: Lung function of 10 intensive care patients with artificial respiration will be measured continuously while changing the sedation schema from intravenous to inhalativ.

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1) Patients who have received intravenous sedation with propofol for at least 24 hours and 2) who require a change of sedation regime for clinical reasons.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1) pregnancy 2) minors < 18 years old 3) allegies to propofol and/or isoflurane 4) susceptibility to malignant hyperthermia 5) application of tidal volumes <200 ml 6) risk of increased intracranial pressure and no possibility of continuous ICP/CPP monitoring
