| Part A: clinical and sociological cross-sectional examination of oral health, oral health-related quality of life, masticatory function and nutrition Oral health indices • DMFT / DMFS index: 1. Number of teeth or tooth surfaces destroyed by caries "D" (Decayed) 2. Number of missing teeth "M" (Missing) 3. Number of filled teeth or tooth surfaces "F" (Filled). When assessing the tooth surface level, the DMFS value ("S" = surfaces) is calculated from the addition of the affected tooth surfaces. • Erosion: index value according to the Basic Erosive Wear Examination (BEWE) • Root caries: Root Caries Index (RCI) • Periodontal parameters: Bleeding on Probing (BOP), CDC / AAP case classification, Community Periodontal Index (CPI, without Treatment Needs [TN]) • Type of prosthetic restoration (according to Kerschbaum) • Dental functional capacity: Resilience levels according to Nitschke • Salivatory flow rate • Chewing efficiency according to Schimmel et al. • Oral health-related quality of life: Geriatric Oral Health Assessment Index (GOHAI) in the German version • Malnutrition risk factor: Mini Nutritional Assessment - Short Form (MNA®-SF) Screening Score Part B:Oral metagenome, proteome and immunological status of centenarians, centenarian offspring and an offspring birth cohort • Microbiome determination, (16S rRNA amplicon sequencing and metagenomic sequencing) • Immunological factors: • protein activity: lysozyme; Immunoglobulins (IgA, IgM, IgG) • Quantitative mass spectrometry-based proteomics • Cellular immune response: CD4 / CD8 ratio | — |
