Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Physicians of different specialist qualifications who treat cancer patients in an in- or outpatient setting in Hamburg, Göttingen and Berlin, who have signed a letter of agreement in regard to the study.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Insufficient German language skills as the training is conducted with German speaking simulated patients and a German written questionnaire must be filled out

Phase of development: developing the training by reviewing the current literature and conducting focus groups with physicians of different specialist qualifications. Evaluation: palliative care communication skills
