Group 1: Retrospective study, examination of all patients in the center with a traumatic symphysis rupture, evaluation of the file data size, weight, sex, age, trauma type, mortality, duration of hosp
follow-up with Majeed Pelvic Scores, Iowa Pelvic Scores, Pelvic Discomfort Index and SF-36 either outpatient or by telephone

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: - Pelvic ring injuries with existing Open Book fracture as sole injury or in combination with another pelvic ring fracture: B1, B3.1, B3.2 and C according to Tile or APC, VS and CM injuries according to Young and Burgess - Age >18 years

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: - Patients with additional acetabular fractures and other pelvic ring injuries - Pregnant patients - Refusal to participate in the study (with regard to the follow-up examination)

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
1. Determination of concomitant injuries and the time of surgery and their influence on pelvic specific outcomes scores (Majeed Pelvic Score, Iowa Pelvic Score, Pelvic Discomfort Index) and on the pelvic non-specific SF-36 2. Identification of displacements and instabilities by radiographic measurement and CT-based 3D reconstructions and correlation of these with implant failure and clinical outcome.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
1. Investigation of the concomitant injury with the greatest influence on the outcome. 2. Determination of the pelvic-specific score that correlates most closely with the overall quality of life (SF-36). 3. Determination of the (temporal) influence of the concomitant injuries on surgical care. 4. Influence of the time of the surgical treatment on the outcome after an open book fracture. 5. Identification of radiologically measured instabilities that influence implant failure and outcome. 6. Comparison of specific instabilities in the measurement of radiographs and CT-based 3D reconstructions. 7. Influence of implant failure on clinical outcome
