Primary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| The fossil toxic load is reduced by fasting as well as the metabolic toxic load. The detoxifying process is induced by changes in the antioxidant capacities in the blood. | — |
Secondary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| The detoxifying process is well-tolerated and the well-being is improved. The following clinical endpoints are analysed: 1. Biomarkers for the assessment of the in vivo antioxidant capacity (antioxidant enzymes, co-enzymes and co-factors before and after fasting) 2. Biomarker for the estimation of toxic load (fossil toxic load: heavy metals, pesticides in urine and blood samples before and after fasting as well as hair samples before and 1 month after fasting ; metabolic toxic load: clinical blood chemistry befor and after fasting) 3. Well-being and side-effects during elimination of toxic compounds (daily questionnaires and visual scales) 4. anthropometric measurements (weight, blood pressure, waist circumference) 5. Vitamins (A, E, C, D, K, B1, B2, B6, B12, RBP) 6. polyamines (spermidine,...) 7. General metabolome 8. Blood sampling | — |
