Group 1: Patients with fracture of the distal radius are surgically treated. Aftercare without wirst orthosis. Follow-up at 2, 6 and 12 weeks as well as after 6 an 12 months.

Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: -age >= 70 years -signed informed consent -surgical treatment of the distal radius fracture
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: - dementia - additional injuries of the same extremity - additional ligamentous injuries of the wrist - conservatively treated patients
