Interventions

Group 1: In arm 1 rhthmic therapy by Jaques-Dalcroze will be offered (60minuten/week
20 weeks in total). Before the study starts and after week 20 a blood sample will be taken to check for signs of infetion (leukocyts, c-reactive protein). Group 2: In arm 2 dance therapy will be off
20 weeks in total). Group 3: In arm 3 a health education class will be offered (60minuten/week
20 weeks in total).

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients -must be at least 50 years old -must have depressive symptoms (BDI>16 points; Hamilton depression scale > 10 points) -must be able to move without a walking frame -must sign a written consent form

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients who are unable to consent and patients who are immobile will be excluded.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
The primary enpoint is an amelioration in the BDI. The timeponits of measurement are before the study starts and 20 weeks afterwards. A blood sample will be taken at the same time points to check for signs of infection.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
The hypothesis to be tested is that there is a correlation between better mental health and biomarkers. For this reason the Hamilton and the blood sample will be compared with the results before the study began.
