Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: diagnosis of at least one psychopathological disorder of the mother during the postpartum phase // Age of the child is 12 months or younger // the mother adequately speaks the German language // written agreement of both custodians
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Acute substance abuse of the mother // Acute psychosis of the mother // acute suicidal tendencies of the mother // Alcohol embryopathy suspected // severe chronic organic impairments of the child // other psychotherapy of mother or child // Participation of mother or child in other clinical trials

| The most important secondary outcome is the child's style of attachment, which is measured after 12 months using the Strange Situation Procedure (SSP) (evaluation of a standard videotaped situation by blinded, certified judges). Further secondary endpoints (mother's symptoms): diagnostic Mini-International Neuropsychiatric Interview (M.I.N.I., after 12 months), Brief Symptom Checklist (BSCL, after 6 weeks), Edinburgh Postnatal Depression Scale (EPDS, after 6 weeks), Anxiety Screening Questionnaire (ASQ-15, after 6 weeks), Scale to Measure Impulsivity and Emotional Dysregulation of Borderline Personality Disorder (IES-27, after 6 weeks), Parental Reflective Functioning Questionnaire (PRFQ-1, after 6 weeks and 12 months), Parental Stress Inventory (PSI, after 6 weeks and 12 months), maternal sensitivity (EAS, after 12 months). Other secondary endpoints (child symptoms and stage of development): Questionnaire of crying, feeding, sleeping (SFS, after 6 weeks), Child Behaviour Checklist (CBCL, after 12 months), development test (ET6-6-R, after 6 weeks and 12 months).
